An interview with Stuart Wareham, Director at TechniquePhysio

Stuart WarehamWhere did you Study?

I qualified from the University of Nottingham with Mike in 2002. Since then I’ve worked in loads of areas including the NHS, Occupational Health, Sports, Private hospitals and private practices, the MOD, and now run my own business along with Mike Aunger, TechniquePhysio.

Last year I became MACP (Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists) registered, following two years studying for an MSc in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Kings College London. I graduated in January this year.

Why Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is my passion. My aim is to maximally help all clients whether they require assistance to return from injury, or help improving their levels of fitness to enhance sporting prowess or general health.

What are your interests, outside of Physiotherapy?

I’m a big football fan and have a season ticket for Manchester United. I probably spend too much of my money on it, travelling to home and away games.

I also love music and going to gigs. There is Glastonbury coming up which I can’t wait for!!!

Sports-wise I now keep fit with running and cross-fit mostly but I used to play loads of football up to semi-pro level in my late teens.

Which clinic do you work from?

I am currently working out of Earl’s Court for Technique, but will also soon be working out of Moorgate in our sister clinic ‘Square Mile Physio’, starting mid May.
